Do you recognise this? This is what the concourse at Utrecht Centraal Station looked like in 1975. In this photo, it is just two years old; an ultramodern concourse in those days. The staff at the brand-new ticket desks printed the train tickets on an old-fashioned machine. Computers hadn’t been introduced back then. In the background, you can see automatic ticket machines, which were a new innovation. The typical 1970s fashion, with flared trousers, oversized collars and hats in every shape and size complete this historic image.
