De Italianen (Café Hofman)

During this 15th edition of the Café Theater Festival, 28 Utrecht bars spend four whole days in the guise of mini-theatres. Come and watch the surprisingly intimate productions produced by young theatre makers, while sipping a glass of wine of beer. To help you choose, we’ve found acts in four bars that are suitable for international audiences. The dance production ‘Morning, Mourning’ in Eetcafé Refter (Nachtegaalstraat 29B) revolves around feelings like grief, absence and loneliness. Families with children of 4 and over could go to Camping Ganspoort (Helling 87) to enjoy a performance of the show ‘It Didn’t Start With Us’. The musical theatre company De Italianen brings a touch of Italian fire and fury (only joking!) to Hofman Café (Janskerkhof 17A), and Café ’t Hoogt (Hoogt 4) will host a dance production entitled ‘TIBA’, which focuses on how hard is to venture outside your comfort zone.
