A thought-provoking portrait of parenthood and survival in the poorest districts of Lebanon, seen through the eyes of a child. Zain spends his days on the streets of the Lebanese capital Beirut. As the oldest child in the family, his job is to support the family. When his sister is married off to an older greengrocer, Zain decides to leave home. He embarks on a fascinating road trip, forming new friendships and being forced to make difficult choices. Worth noting: the cast mainly comprises amateur actors. This Lebanese film will be screened with English subtitles on four evenings in March.

> Capharnaüm will be screened on 6 and 20 March in Springhaver, and on 10 and 24 March in the Louis Hartlooper Complex
