An edgy film with a theatre programme to support it: during the CineArt evenings in the cultural haven De Nijverheid, film theatre ‘t Hoogt combines film with theatre. Theatre artist Marieke Heerema creates a theatrical experience that dovetails with the film you will see (or have already seen). Either English is spoken in the films, or they have English subtitles. On the bill on 30 July is Climax, directed by Gaspar Noé (Irreversible, Enter the Void). A group of dancers touring the USA is rehearsing in an old school building. The rehearsal turns into a party, and the sangria flows freely. However, the sangria is spiked with LSD and things soon spiral out of control.
