Do you want to know what you can expect of the coming cultural season in Utrecht? Check out the Uitfeest on Sunday 3 September. Janskerkhof serves as both a dance podium and a platform for art from Utrecht galleries, art spaces and museums. And there’s a cinema for the youngest visitors in ’t Hoogt, where film-lovers can also indulge themselves with trailers, short films, animations and clips. Music will be supplied by international top musicians and young talent, in TvioliVredenburg and other venues throughout the city. For example, Stadhuisplein will be transformed into an urban stage, with performances by artistes including rapper Jerman Bridgewater. Leidsche Rijn district is also brimming with activities, such as concerts by the Highland bigband and young talent from the Vocal Arts Academy. 3 September is also the date of the second edition of the Urban Culture Run Utrecht, a 10-km run taking you past and through all kinds of surprising buildings, cultural institutions, gardens and quiet courtyards.
