Right in the heart of Soest (a village close to Utrecht), you’ll find the Eng, an area of rolling farmland on a lateral moraine. Some of the original land has now been built on, but green areas still remain. That makes it a great place for a leisurely stroll. At the highest point of the Soester Eng, a corn mill has been rebuilt: De Windhond. In principle, corn is ground if the wind is strong enough. For now, the mill shop opens its doors two days a week and sells wheat flour from its own mill, as well as products from other mills.
