Wide horizons, idyllic lakes, gently rolling hills, sprawling polder landscape, winding forest paths, heathland and sand dunes: you can’t fault the nature around Utrecht. So grab your (e-)bike, motorbike or car and head out of town towards the Utrechtse Heuvelrug or the area around Kromme Rijn river, for example. Nature is at its best there when everything is quiet, so try to get there early. Be honest, on a warm summer morning, what could be better than feeling the first rays of sun rising over the treetops, hearing the early morning chorus of the birds or seeing the dewdrops glistening in the grass? A true fairy tale landscape.
