In the early 1990s, the American musician Everlast was the frontman of House Of Pain, the rap trio that had a global hit with ‘Jump Around’. Everlast is also a dab hand on the guitar and after House of Pain disbanded, he moved on to become a bluesy singer-songwriter. He was just as successful and his solo track Whitey Ford Sings The Blues (1998) became a classic. On his latest album Whitey Ford’s House Of Pain (2018), Everlast’s voice is even more gravelly, but the relaxed vibe can still be heard in his music.
