Artist Marlou Beentjes is fascinated by optical illusions. In the intimate exhibition hall at EXbunker – a former WW II bunker in Wilhelmina park – she transformed her fascination into a spatial experience. Graphic design, coloured lighting, music and clothing all combine to form an installation that is continuously changing. You see ever-changing perspectives of the same image. It’s easy to make the comparison with modern-day society: we all look at the world from our own perspective, but what would happen if we tried to look at it through someone else’s eyes?
