She’s larger than life, wild and androgynous: American-Jamaican singer, songwriter, model, producer and actress Grace Jones. But as she submits herself to our gaze, we will discover a different side of her: that of a lover, daughter, mother, sister and even grandmother. The film includes Jones’ unique performances singing iconic hits such as ‘Slave to the Rhythm’ and ‘Pull up to the Bumper’ as well as her more recent autobiographical tracks. These personal songs are the connection to the singer’s family life, as the film takes us on a road trip across Jamaica, where her family roots and the story of her traumatic childhood are uncovered.
