Theatre artist Marieke Heerema creates a theatrical experience that dovetails with the film you will see (or have already seen). Either English is spoken in the films, or they have English subtitles. On 27 August you can watch Holy Motors, a surrealist film by French director Leos Carax. It’s about a few hours in the shadowy life of a mystic man named Monsieur Oscar. Some called the film ‘completely bonkers’ when it premiered in 2012, where others described it as ‘mythical, mysterious and extravagant’.
