This satire set during World War II, follows the lonely German boy JoJo (Roman Griffin Davis), whose worldview is turned upside down when he discovers that his single mother (Scarlett Johansson) is hiding a Jewish girl (Thomasin McKenzie) in their attic. With only his idiotic and imaginary friend Adolf Hitler (Taika Waititi) by his side, JoJo has to face his blind spot for nationalism.
