This waterside saw mill and the yard around it forms a beautiful green oasis in the middle of the city. Ideal for spending a pleasant summer’s day. You can visit the authentic, working saw mill, which dates back to 1739, every Saturday from 13.00 to 16.00. There’s no guarantee that they’ll actually be sawing wood because this depends on the wind, but guided tours about the history and work at the mill are always available, including in English. To complete the visit, check out the small playground or visit the two pigs that are wandering around the yard. The Molen Café is open during the day from Wednesday to Sunday, serving coffee, brunch, lunch and drinks.
> every Saturday, Molen de Ster (Molenpark 3, entrance on Floresstraat)
