Does anyone still play music from the ‘roaring twenties’ these days? Yes – Sheesham and Lotus & ‘Son! This band can transform any audience into a heaving mass of conga fiends using a violin, a banjo, a sousaphone and an arsenal of strange, obscure wind instruments from a bygone era. To complete the experience, the musicians themselves look as if they’ve stepped out of a Buster Keaton movie.
