After their last night shift cleaning a brothel, the Kurdish-Iraqi brothers Adil and Sami(r) want to return to Iraq to say goodbye to their mother, who recently passed away. But they haven’t been honest to each other about their intentions. Their flight to the Netherlands and five years living as illegal immigrants has changed them. Sami has embraced Western life, whereas Adil misses the collective lifestyle of his native country and longs for his religious roots. While cleaning and discussing their imminent departure, the brothers share their thoughts on fleeing Iraq, Western values, Eastern standards, exclusion, assimilation and the immense internal conflict they are both enduring.
