For a bit of history, you can take an online tour of Museum Huis Doorn. This country house rose to fame when the German ex-emperor Wilhelm II fled to the Netherlands after World War I and bought it in 1919. He lived there until he died in 1941. You can also browse the collection of the museum online, which consists of all the objects Wilhelm II brought to Doorn in 59 train carriages from his palaces in Berlin and Potsdam.
