The unique Oud Amelisweerd Pop-up Museum, just out of town, is hosting two exhibitions featuring costumes. Theater van papier shines a new light on the opera Modeaffe, a critical comedy by Frederik de Grote about day-to-day life at court and court etiquette. The artist Isabelle de Borchgrave brings the story to life with elaborate paper costumes, complete with dolls, hairstyles and costumes in three sorts of paper. In Dress to Impress, you can admire the most fabulous costumes imaginable: from outfits designed for an extravagant bal masqué to costumes that make an artistic social statement.
