Malian singer/guitarist Vieux Farka Touré creates irresistibly delicious desert blues deeply rooted in the rich musical culture of his homeland. The son of guitarist Ali Farka Touré (1939-2006) has already released eight studio albums, and in 2022, he even released two records. On the first one, “Les Racines,” his bluesy guitar playing reaches meditative heights – The Volkskrant even called it ‘his most beautiful album to date.’ Then came the album “Ali,” on which he reinterprets his father’s work with the Texan band Khruangbin. Vieux Farka Touré is currently in the best phase of his career.
