Garden Party in the Castle Gardens of Slot Zuylen

The perfect way to experience a castle as it should be: a Garden Party. During the Garden Party, you’ll receive a guided tour, have the opportunity to play old-fashioned garden games, and settle down with a picnic basket in the castle gardens, where live music will be performed. Just like the castle residents of yesteryear, you won’t need to fill your own picnic basket; the kitchen staff of Slot Zuylen will take care of that ‘downstairs’.

With the Garden Party, you’re booking a complete day out. Whether you’re going on a date for two or want to venture out with the whole family. First, take your time to admire the castle and play a game of croquet. Then join a guided tour through the beautiful castle gardens. Afterward, pick up your well-stocked picnic basket and spread your blanket in a beautiful spot in the castle garden. Trio Clamore will welcome you here in style, with cheerful tunes.

In your picnic basket, you’ll find homemade vegetarian treats. The kitchen staff has prepared them with love, using as many vegetables and fruits from our own garden as possible. And you can taste it: luxurious sandwiches, fruit salad, pastries, savory snacks, and organic apple/pear juice. Alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase at the party itself. For children, the snacks will be adjusted, and there will be a little gift in the basket.

Times

• You are welcome from 11 a.m. for activities such as admiring the castle, playing croquet, or taking a walk through the beautiful surroundings.
• The garden tour starts at 2:30 p.m. (optional).
• You can pick up your picnic basket at 3:30 p.m., and the party ends around 5 p.m.

Included

• Access to the castle and garden and any temporary exhibitions.
• Guided tour of approximately 45 minutes through the castle garden.
• Homemade picnic with juice and a little gift for children.
• Live music.
• Picnic basket and picnic blanket, to be returned afterwards.
• Use of games in the garden (there is a limited supply, so you may need to share at times)

Price

• € 40 per person and € 15 for children aged 4 to 8.
• Children under 4 can come along for free. You can bring your own food and drinks for them.
• Your Museumkaart (Museum Card) entitles you to a € 5 discount.
