NDT 2: The Edge of Things

“The Edge of Things” spotlights the next generation of dance artists. Canadian choreographer Ethan Colangelo, fascinated by inner contrasts, creates his first work for NDT. Associate choreographer Jermaine Spivey, in his new creation, pushes the boundaries of dancers and audiences with his talent for improvisation, spontaneity, and structure. Finally, the company revisits Alexander Ekman’s “FIT.” Set to the swinging sounds of The Dave Brubeck Quartet’s “Take Five,” this vibrant choreography comes to life with Ekman’s signature humor, intelligence, and absurdity.
