Allen’s voice is a cross between that of Rod Stewart, Van Morrison and Sam Cooke, allowing him to handle many genres: rock, blues, folk and – as heard on his album Blue Flame (2018) – blue-eyedsoul. His sixth album, A Heightened Sense of Everything, was released in 2023; its successor is due in early 2025. Also enjoy Allen’s band The Luna Kings, made up of England’s best session musicians.
