Retrospective is a reflection on the visual artwork of Maggy Voorsluys Gomez over the past years. The artist enjoys both national and international recognition. Her paintings have been acquired by businesses, museums, municipal and provincial art collections, as well as private collectors both nationally and internationally. Voorsluys Gomez pursued multiple art educations, starting with her first in Utrecht (now HKU), followed by the Rijksacademie in Amsterdam, the first-degree teacher training in visual arts in Amersfoort, and finally, a Master’s in Museology at the Reinwardt Academy in Amsterdam. Additionally, Voorsluys Gomez worked as a teacher and department head at ArtEZ in Zwolle and Fontys FHK School of Arts, ArtCoDe, in Tilburg. In this exhibition, the artist presents paintings from various periods, featuring different subjects that have been or continue to be sources of inspiration for her. She showcases works from series such as ‘Letters are written,’ ‘Silence,’ ‘Nature,’ and her most recent series, ‘Watermusic.’

The exhibition runs from November 29th to December 29th, 2023.

Admission is free, open from Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
