Late Night Concert

Anyone who is so captivated by the chamber music performances of the musicians after the evening concert, will go straight to Cloud Nine. During this intimate Late Night Concert, the atmosphere is relaxed, the repertoire is always a big surprise and spontaneous improvised performances are not excluded. While enjoying a drink, this is the ultimate conclusion to a great first festival day.

A lot happens during a Late Night Concert. A number of musicians from the opening concert will come by for a casual meet-and-greet and may even step onto the stage themselves. A wild ‘encore’ can sound next to a quiet arrangement of a pop song and musicians can show themselves from an unknown side. What is certain in any case is that the versatile master clarinetist Martin Fröst will be present.

Martin Fröst needs no introduction. The Swedish clarinetist made his name with spectacular solo works such as Peacock Tales by Anders Hilborg, in which he not only raised the clarinet to a higher level, but also manifested himself as a dancer and mime artist. Fröst is also an exceptionally active chamber musician. The ideal person to add an extra dimension to this concert and to the entire festival.
