In war, the majority of the victims are innocent. Hidden Stories tells the stories of people living in Middle Eastern war zones. Children losing their future, families being torn apart, and the struggle against the regime form the basis of our work. We tell these stories by projecting animations onto a diorama of a destroyed Middle Eastern city. By presenting these true stories on a platter, we show these human experiences of war and loss from a new perspective.

Mellis Nitus

Every collaboration is a quest for connection, meaning, and freedom for Mellis. He enjoys delving into other cultures and worlds with artists who have a strong connection to them. Mellis tries to better understand the world through his art. He takes his viewers along on his quest, which takes the form of paintings, music, or installation art.

Maher Almalek

Maher is a digital artist, animator and makes miniature models. “I am inspired by both the beauty and the ugliness of reality.” For his paintings, Maher primarily draws inspiration from nature, while for his miniatures, the inspiration mainly comes from his own imagination. In his animation work, he brings these two elements to life together.
