Nederlands Dans Theater: Architecture of the Invisible

In ‘Clowns’ from 2016, Hofesh Shechter explores the complexity of life and the raw human desire for liberation. It is an intense choreography that revolves around light and darkness as inextricably linked life forces. That same darkness is at the heart of Jiří Kylián’s ‘Vanishing Twin’ (2008), about transience, suppressed emotions and the dark side of life. Finally, the new work by Christos Papadopoulos explores our subtle, everyday social connections, shedding light on the beauty of deep connections.

Please note: Choreographer Hofesh Shechter wants to create an immersive experience with his work Clowns. During this work in this performance, the sound can be experienced as very loud. Bring a set of earplugs if you are sensitive to this.

The sound level will be monitored during the performance and will remain within the agreements surrounding the ‘Covenant Prevention of Hearing Damage Amplified Music’.
