Apple pie concert: Karin Strobos & the Kreisler Quartet

This year’s Appeltaart program revolves around the (musical) language of love. And everyone understands it! Let your heart be conquered by the lyrics of Debussy’s songs, which he took from French erotic poems. Berlioz’s music is also inspired by French love poetry. The Spanish Amorosa (which means ‘loving’) provides a warm, intimate atmosphere this afternoon.

The Kreisler Quartet has been associated with the Appeltaartconcerten for a few years now. During the festival, these top musicians will be accompanied by mezzo-soprano Karin Strobos, who not only has a great heart for chamber music, but who we can rightly call a celebrated opera star.
