Californian indie pop trio half•alive were all over YouTube six years ago with the tightly choreographed video accompanying their single Still Feel, not coincidentally a highly danceable track. Labelling half•alive’s music as indie pop doesn’t really do justice to their work: the band covers the entire spectrum from electropop to alternative rock and has been compared to acts as diverse as Twenty One Pilots, The 1975 and Wallows. In September, we were graced with the catchy new single Sophie’s House, the precursor to their new (fourth) album Persona, released on 15 November.
