Ultha

German Ultha is a band for fans of long drawn-out black metal with a good dash of melancholy, modelled on bands like Ash Borer and Wolves in the Throne Room.

Since forming in 2014, the five-piece has become one of the most interesting black metal bands to emerge from our eastern neighbours in recent years. This is partly thanks to the productivity of the group, who have currently released 11 releases since their inception. These works are marked by passion, tenacity and emotional dynamics they manage to capture in their music.

Utrecht-based Grey Aura will release new album Zwart Vierkant: Slotstuk on 28 March, marking this innovative black metal band’s follow-up to 2021’s Zwart Vierkant. With the new album, Grey Aura once again explores the boundaries of black metal with forays into dark folk, jazz and flamenco.
