Guusje Slagter is an artist based in Deventer. Her practice, which began with painting, has evolved into vibrant, three-dimensional textile works that embody a soft, feminine energy. Guusje explores the essence of every form, focusing on creating a bright, colorful world where everything is welcomed—where everything breathes and seems to be interconnected, free from the constraints of time. Through the use of bold colors, inspired by toys from her childhood, she strives to create an inviting atmosphere that evokes joy and happiness.
