Throwback

Throwback: 1972 – Drieharingstraat

In Het Utrechts straatnamenboek, written by Erik Tigelaar in collaboration with Vereniging Oud-Utrecht, you can discover how almost 350 Utrecht streets, squares and parks got their names. For example, the name of the street in the photo (Drieharingstraat) doesn’t derive from ‘Hollandse Nieuwe’, but was named after the Drie Haringen inn that was once located here. The book is written in Dutch.
