In 2014, Icelandic choreographer and dancer Bára Sigfúsdóttir travelled to Iran where she became intrigued by two local artistes: Masoumeh Jalalieh and Seyed Alireza Mirmohammadi. Their exchanges formed the basis for Bára’s latest production Being, in which the human body serves as an instrument for dialogue between the West-European and the Iranian cultures. A dialogue intended to identify common ground rather than highlight the differences between the two.
