BALU
Utrecht’s vinyl collector and selector Nicolas van Dedem, also known as BALU, is a true musical polymath. From a passion for the world of analog music, he learned to play guitar, piano, and drums, before briefly delving into digital DJing. However, BALU feels most at home amidst his ever-growing collection of vinyl records, ranging from jazz and hip-hop to acid techno and micro-house. As one of the faces behind the local Birdcage Radio, Nicolas provides a platform for new talents, but tonight, he’s taking the decks himself with a hefty dose of house, dub techno, and breakbeat cuts.

LYRAE
Emerging local talent Emma Neijgh van Lier, aka Lyrae, is making waves and it hasn’t gone unnoticed. Her deep-rooted passion for electronic music is evident in her diverse collection of uplifting and intergalactic progressive house, breakbeat, and trance. With a residency at Birdcage Radio, sets at Maxi Radio, and NAR, it’s now EKKO’s turn.
