In February 2026, the Netherlands Student Orchestra (NSO) will embark on its 74th annual tour, performing in some of the most beautiful concert halls in the Netherlands! Ninety talented students from across the country will pause their studies for a month to make music at the highest level. This year, the orchestra shares the stage with top violinist Noa Wildschut. After an intensive ten-day rehearsal period, the NSO will perform in major venues throughout the Netherlands, with Berlin and Duisburg as international highlights.

In February 2026, 20:15 – 22;00, the NSO will perform two suites from Maurice Ravel’s masterpiece Daphnis et Chloé, one of the most ambitious orchestral works in Ravel’s repertoire. In addition, internationally acclaimed violinist Noa Wildschutwill perform Sergei Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 2. The commissioned work, titled Durga-Puriya Sonata, has been composed especially for this tour by the talented composer and trombonist Arjan Linker—a world premiere not to be missed.

This musically and technically demanding program, conducted by Arjan Tien, will be performed in ten Dutch concert halls, including De Doelen in Rotterdam and The Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. The NSO will also give concerts in leading venues in Duisburg and Berlin. After ten days of intensive rehearsals—ten hours a day—the NSO will begin its two-week tour on February 9, 2026. And the 23th of february NSO plays in TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht.
