This autumn, the anniversary will be celebrated with a festive jubilee day on Sunday, 18 October at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht, where from 10.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. the venue will be buzzing with song.

Concerts, presentations, a masterclass, an Open Stage and many other activities will take place in the Hertz Hall, the Main Foyer and De Punt.

The theme of the anniversary is Colours! After all, the song repertoire has many colours, just like the human voice. In addition, the programme provides space for diversity and inclusion.

A preview of the programme:

• a colourful recital by soprano Francis van Broekhuizen and pianist Femke de Graaf;
• a new palette of colours for Schubert’s songs in transcriptions by pianist Bas Verheijden;
• a short masterclass by tenor Christoph Prégardien for two student duos from the Amsterdam Conservatory;
• a recital by a duo from the recently developed Master’s specialisation in Song at the Royal Conservatoire The Hague;
• presentations by the Song Class of the Utrecht Conservatory;
• an Open Stage for amateur singers centred on the works of Benjamin Britten;
• a College Tour with Christoph Prégardien, in which he looks back on his impressive career;
• a festive closing recital by Elenora Hu and Amy Chang, laureates of the International Vocal Competition ‘s-Hertogenbosch 2023.

And of course, during the breaks there will be plenty of opportunity to meet one another in the Main Foyer and afterwards to raise a glass together to the anniversary of the association.
