We’ll mention three: Stress Als Optie, Gentse Leugentjes, and Tuin. Live, De Beren Gieren is an energetic sensation, gleefully improvising with sparkling melodies and polyrhythmic soundscapes. With a basic lineup of piano, bass, and drums, the trio manages to reach places in the musical universe where no band has gone before – it’s no coincidence that their most recent album (released in 2021) is titled Less Is Endless.
