Utrecht Science Week
From Friday 25 September to Sunday 4 October 2026, Utrecht Science Park hosts Utrecht Science Week, a ten-day festival celebrating science, innovation and discovery. Visitors are invited behind the scenes of the largest science park in the Netherlands, where more than 55,000 students and 31,000 professionals work together on groundbreaking research and innovations in health and sustainability.
The programme features a wide variety of lectures, workshops, guided tours and interviews, offering visitors the opportunity to explore how science shapes our daily lives and tackles global challenges. Whether you are curious about medicine, technology, biology or sustainability, there is something for every age and level of interest.
Programme highlights include an opening lecture by Juliette Legler on the impact of endocrine-disrupting chemicals and microplastics, a visit to a vaccine production facility and talks exploring how the human immune system works. On Sunday 4 October, the event also hosts the Dutch Weekend of Science, with experiments, demonstrations and guided tours specially designed for children and families.
Utrecht Science Week offers a unique opportunity to discover the people, places and ideas behind today’s scientific breakthroughs and to experience the vibrant atmosphere of Utrecht Science Park.
