The Art of Banksy

For the first time, the internationally renowned exhibition The Art of Banksy is coming to Utrecht. From 2 April 2026, Koninklijke Jaarbeurs will open its doors to this unique exhibition featuring more than 150 original and certified works by the world-famous but anonymous street artist Banksy.

A world first for Utrecht
The exhibition has been travelling the world for over ten years and has previously been shown in cities such as London, Melbourne, Chicago and Toronto. Now Utrecht will be the first to host it. Visitors will discover iconic works such as Girl With Balloon, alongside lesser-known pieces, sketches and personal memorabilia that lift a corner of the veil on Banksy’s creative process. Michel Boersma, Executive Producer & Curator of The Art of Banksy: “After a successful world tour, I am proud that we are bringing this larger-than-ever collection to the Netherlands for the first time. All works are authentic and come from private collections. No replicas, but the real deal. Thanks to contributions from Banksy’s confidants and former lovers, we can give visitors a unique insight into how iconic works and infamous stunts came about.”

New cultural hotspot at Jaarbeurs
The exhibition will take place in the new cultural space on the first floor of the Beatrix Building at Jaarbeurs. This location has been specially developed for art and photography exhibitions and offers a unique experience for art lovers, cultural tourists, families and students. Marieke Groot, project manager at Jaarbeurs: ‘With The Art of Banksy, we are reinforcing our ambition to put Jaarbeurs on the map as a cultural meeting place. It is a unique opportunity to give Utrecht a place in the international art circuit.’

About The Art of Banksy
The exhibition includes prints, canvases, screen prints, sculptures and unique works from the period 1997–2008, during which Banksy created his most iconic art. All works are certified and come from private collections.
