Fatine Benouari: Tagine and Tulips
Tagine and Tulips tells the story of her bi-cultural identity, inspired by her grandmother’s journey as a first-generation Moroccan woman in the Netherlands. By merging Moroccan craftsmanship with Dutch traditional dress into textiles and form, she creates a dialogue between past and present, heritage and environment. Her work is an ode to migration, cultural blending and the richness of growing up bicultural. It reveals stories that often remain unseen and invites recognition and connection. For Fatine, fashion serves as a social instrument and becomes a bridge between worlds where identity is not fixed but constantly evolving.
